Description
This 3D-printable American green tree frog (Dryophytes cinereus) on a twig model makes for a stunning display piece. When painted, it looks like it was frozen in time, taken straight from nature.
American green tree frogs are a medium-sized New World tree frog species from the family Hylidae. They are common across their range through the south-eastern United States.
This model depicts a male in mid-call. As with most frog species, only male American green tree frogs call for the purposes of mating, attracting females and dissuading males from physical fights.
The 3D-printable digital files are in STL format. They’re scaled to life-size and ready for you to print and paint them.
This American green tree frog is 42mm long from snout to vent, which is about the average size for a large adult male. The whole model, including the twig, is 128.69mm tall at the default size.

Our tested print settings
We successfully printed this model in clear resin on an LCD 3D printer using these settings:
- Layer height: 0.03mm
- Hollowed: True
- Wall thickness: 2mm
- Infill: No
- 3mm drainage holes near bottom of twig
Feel free to use these settings as a guide or use your own preferred settings. They’re just the settings that we used when printing.
Due to the nature of resin printing, you will have to determine your own exposure settings because they are different for every brand of resin and printer.
