About the Display Stand Generator
This app makes 3D-printable display stands (plinths) for models, figures, eggs and anything else you want to show off. Choose a rectangle or a round/oval shape, set the size, and pick an edge profile. Thickness, edge profile and corner radius start on sensible defaults, and each has a Reset button if you change it. You can type values outside the slider range into the number boxes.
Edge profiles. These are the classic router-bit and moulding edges used on wooden plinths and picture frames, from a plain chamfer to a double Roman ogee. Every profile only steps inward as it rises, so the stand prints flat side down with no supports. Profile size is the height of the profile; by default it is half to four-fifths of the thickness, depending on the profile.
Recessed top. Tick Recess the top surface to sink the top into a tray for a mini diorama: fill it with dirt, sand, static grass or resin and stand your model in it. Recess depth is how deep the tray is (at least 1 mm of floor is always left under it) and Rim width is how far its edge sits in from the top edge of the stand. The recess walls go straight down, so it still prints without supports. The dimensions card shows roughly how much resin fills it level.
Printing. Print the stand flat side down. Three or four walls and 15–20% infill are plenty for most models. A small bottom chamfer (under More options) stops the first layer bulging out. All sizes are in millimetres.
Using your stands. You can use the stands you make here however you like, including commercially: print them, paint them, share them, and make and sell them. The one thing I ask is credit. Whenever you show or sell them publicly (prints on display, product listings, photos, videos, social media posts or written work), include:
“Display stand created with the Savi Made Stand Generator (savimade.ca)”
Make savimade.ca a live link where the platform allows. On social media you can instead tag Savi Made (Instagram @savi_made, Facebook @SaviMade, TikTok @savimade) and mention Savi Made in the caption. See also the attribution section of the Terms and Conditions.
Payments and your file. The Stand Generator runs separately from the Savi Made shop. Payments go straight through Stripe, so they won't appear in your shop account or order history, even when you're signed in. Your stand file is made in your own browser and isn't stored anywhere, not on this site and not in your account, so save it to your device right after paying. Stripe emails you a receipt; if a download goes wrong or you lose the file, get in touch with your receipt and I'll sort it out.
