Enter the enchanting realm of the South-American rainforest, where vibrant colors and intriguing biodiversity converge. At the heart of this lush ecosystem lies this captivating frog species: Dendrobates tinctorius, more commonly known as the Dyeing Poison Dart Frog. Renowned for its diverse and breathtaking colour morphs, this species of poison dart frog captivates enthusiasts and researchers alike.
This model can be painted to look like any Dendrobates tinctorius morph, and it can be painted to look like other closely relates Dendrobatid species, such as Dendrobates auratus, or Dendrobates leucomelas.

The 3D printable, digital files are in STL format. They’re scaled to life-size and ready for you to print and paint them.

This Dendrobates tinctorius model is 41.5mm in snout-vent-length, which is about average for tinctorius. However, different morphs are known to be different sizes, so you could scale it accordingly to be bigger or smaller morphs.

The files are packaged in a .zip archive for ease of organization.

Our tested print settings: Resin

We successfully printed this model in clear resin on an LCD 3D printer using these settings:

  • Layer height: 0.05mm
  • Hollowed: False

Feel free to use these settings as a guide or use your own preferred settings. They’re just the settings that we used when printing.

Due to the nature of resin printing, you will have to determine your own exposure settings because they are different for every brand of resin and printer.
