Description
Cave Coqui (Eleutherodactylus cooki)
The Cave Coqui (Eleutherodactylus cooki), also known as the Puerto Rican rock frog or rock coqui, fascinates as a threatened frog species endemic to southeastern Puerto Rico. Primarily inhabiting caves and rocky crevices within the Cuchilla de Panduras mountain range, this species reaches up to 2 inches in length for females and slightly smaller for males. It features a solid brown coloration with whitish underparts and large, white-rimmed eyes, giving it a phantom-like appearance. Breeding males and some females may exhibit yellow throats and abdomens, showcasing unique sexual dimorphism. The Cave Coqui’s melodious, low voice, distinct from other coqui species on the island, contributes to its cultural and ecological significance.
Our 3D printable digital files are in STL format, scaled to life-size and ready for you to print and paint. We scaled this Cave Coqui to 43mm SVL, the average size for males of this species. Print it at 118% scale for the average female size (50.8mm).
The files come packaged in a .zip archive for easy organization and distribution.
